Hey all,

I’m getting so excited about The Green Bottle Tour I just don’t know what to do with myself! The posters and flyers have been printed and sent off to the venues (and to my minions in each city to hand out to all and sundry!) The long bus journeys and cheap hotels have been booked, the garish stage outfits have been discussed (Antony, my guitarist is dreading any outfit I’ll put him in!!) I’ve been waiting my whole life to go out on the road with my music so I couldn’t be happier now the wheels are fully in motion.

On friday we performed at the Komedia in Brighton to support  Alistair Griffin, an ex-contestant of TV show ‘Fame Academy’. We had a great show and got some really lovely feedback from the audience. One girl (who had been crazily dancing right in front of the stage) came to me after and said to me “I just had to tell you that my name is Louise and I’m from Germany” then there was a long pause so I thought that was all! “Well that’s great to know, Louise from Germany” but luckily she followed it up with some lovely feedback about our performance which left me feeling very nice.  It was our last show as a band before the tour although I will be performing a three song set at The Marlborough Theatre in Brighton on Friday 30th September as part of Proud Music- an evening of openly gay music. I’ll be playing piano and singing with accompaniment from the gorgeous vocals of Katarina Holmberg and Frankie Young from soul/funk act Kiina. Also performing will be my good friends and fantastic musicians Alan Bonner and Catherine Allin and the headline act is Simon Walton who is putting the whole thing together as a celebration of gay music and to launch his debut EP.

In other great news, my album ‘The Last Green Bottle’ recently received a 10/10 review from American music blog site Breaking Music Magazine, you can read the review here  www.breakingmusicmagazine.com/reviews

I’m also pleased to announce that the support act for the Brighton date of The Green Bottle Tour is the fabulous Justin Saltmeris (www.myspace.com/justinsaltmeris2) I first saw Justin play at the Latest Bar at the beginning of this year and was instantly hooked to his hypnotic whisky soaked vocals and melancholic, poetic tunes. You’re gonna love him. Tickets for the Brighton show are now available at www.www.pauldiello.com under ‘shop’.

For those of you that know my lovely violinist Tessa, you’ll be excited to hear that she has taken up the ukelele and will be debuting her new skills at the Brighton show of the tour in a duet with myself,  I can’t wait (and no, we won’t be performing  ‘when I’m cleaning windows’!)

Lastly, I’m very excited to announce that in February next year I will be heading to Italy for La Bottiglia Verde Tour! Yes The Green Bottle Tour will be starting off in Parma (perhaps I’ll do a Gaga and make myself a ham dress?!) and working it’s way around Northern Italy from 8th-12th Feb, venues to be confirmed later.

Right my lovelies, I’ll be signing off now, must brush up on my Italian (by ordering a Dominoes pizza!) I’ll be keeping you all up to date on all of the tour shenanigans as we hit the road next month with a tour diary, and it’s being filmed too so you can laugh at our expense via YouTube, yay!!

Much love all round
