Best Solo Artist 2010

We are delighted to announce that Paul Diello has been voted Best Solo Artist in Brighton at the first ever Brighton Music Awards 2010. The ceremony took place at the Brighton Centre this Tues and as well as receiving the award, Paul performed his tune ‘Flame’ from debut album ‘The Last Green Bottle’.

“It was the most amazing night, after I performed Flame, Jimmy Page came up to me in the dressing room and told me how much he enjoyed it, he asked for a cd of mine and asked ME to sign it for HIM!! That certainly doesn’t happen every day! I also got a pat on the back from Roger Daltery, I’m still buzzing!”

A big thank you to all of you that voted for Paul.

Read the review for Paul’s show at the Iambic Arts Theatre Oct 23rd:

“In an obscure back street venue, the Iambic Arts Theatre, Paul Diello welcomed an intimate audience with a sundry set that was bursting with unmistakable talent. His note perfect vocals, blue eye shadow and swept haircut at first appeared ostentatious, but his open appreciation and amusing stories of social mishaps were enough to win over the most sceptical of onlookers. His songs, which mostly consisted of ballads and a Damian Rice cover, were transfixing and sometimes moving. Supported by a guitarist, violinist and backing vocal, the ensemble did not miss a beat and his host of ‘friends’ entered the stage with their diverting contributions.”
